Projeto Hotel da Lagoa : Metodologias actuais para a arquitectura bioclimática

Abstract

A Região do Oeste é marcada por uma paisagem natural única, onde a Lagoa de Óbidos se oferece como importante elemento definidor do lugar, na articulação com o concelho vizinho das Caldas da Rainha. Posiciona-se como ponto de partida para a experimentação de um vasto património natural, histórico e edificado, propícios ao desenvolvimento turístico de uma região de oportunidades excecionais. Apesar da diversidade dos recursos disponíveis, a sazonalidade e o foco quase exclusivamente balnear configuram as razões de um inexistente crescimento local e do fraco desenvolvimento do setor. O presente trabalho desenvolve a proposta para reconfiguração de uma unidade hoteleira, direcionando-a sobretudo para modelos mais inovadores de turismo de saúde e bem-estar, e de turismo natureza. Implantado junto à margem norte da lagoa, no lugar do Nadadouro, o hotel define-se pela extraordinária relação visual que estabelece com a paisagem envolvente. O projeto explorou metodologias diversas de otimização de desenho e desempenho. De forma a tirar o máximo partido das características ambientais do lugar, fez-se um estudo criterioso do clima local, através da geração de ficheiros climáticos reais, partindose depois para o diagnóstico e desenvolvimento de estratégias passivas, e análises da radiação e iluminação natural, conseguidos com a ajuda de softwares especializados. A presente tese documenta o trabalho realizado, de transformação do projeto desenvolvido na disciplina de Projeto V, respondendo a um conjunto de oportunidades, não exaustivas, que hoje se colocam à arquitetura bioclimática. The West Region is marked by a unique natural landscape, where the Óbidos Lagoon offers itself as important element definer of the place, in the articulation with the neighboring county of Caldas da Rainha. Positions itself as starting point to the experimentation of a vast natural, historical and edified heritage, propitious to touristic development of a region of exceptional opportunities. Despite the diversity of the available resources, the seasonality and the almost exclusively beach focus configure the reasons of a nonexistent local growth and the weak development of the sector. The present work develops the proposal for reconfiguration of a hotel unit, directing it above all to more innovative models of health and wellness tourism, and nature tourism. Deployed beside the north margin of the lagoon, in the place of Nadadouro, the hotel defines itself by the extraordinary visual relation that establishes with the enveloping landscape. The project explored several methodologies of drawing and performance optimization. In order to make the most of the environmental characteristics of the place, a careful study of the local climate was made, through the generation of actual climatic files, departing afterwards to the diagnosis and development of passive strategies, and analyses of the radiation and natural lighting, achieved with the help of specialized softwares. The present thesis documents the work performed, of transformation of the project developed in the subject of Projeto V, answering to a set of opportunities, not exhaustive, that today apply to the architecture in methodological and compositional terms, in the permanent search of the principles of bioclimatic architecture. Performances that any project can and must ensure from the initial moments of conception are sought.
